Virtue: Gallery – make images not clickable

Hi Ben & Hannah,
Only issue is with images in a Virtue: Gallery.
I’ve tried turning off the lightbox in the theme options, but then the image opens to the file upload URL and there’s no option to close the image, you have to navigate ‘back’ — which is worse than the lightbox…

I would rather the image not open at all but can’t seem to find how to do that. Help!
(if the solution is a code snippet, please specify where I will need to put it)
