Hi
Can you please consider this and see if you need to make a change in the Pinnacle Theme.
1) I have a client site that was using the basic theme. I purchased the premium theme.
2) In order set it up I copied the site to a development server (Version 1) and installed the premium theme (but didn’t activate it) and it the blog was hacked.
So I restored from a back up, installed the premium theme and activated it, and installed Ithemes WP Security – still had the blog hacked.
3) So then I restored it again (version 1) and copied it to an other sever on a different domain (version 2)
– in Version 1, removed the premium theme (this was the install that had been hacked 2x with the premium theme)
– in Version 2 I retained the premium theme
today
– Live site and Version 1 (on separate servers) are not hacked
– Version 2 (on a 3rd server) but with the Premium theme is hacked (hacked by matrix dz)
So I’m thinking that the test has eliminated the existing install, the hosting and user login vulnerability, and I can only draw the conclusion that the problem is a vulnerability in the Premium theme and I no longer want to use it.
I have now wasted enough time with this (about a week of elapsed time) and I have a site that needs doing. Can I please have a refund and move on.
thanks
