woocommerce file override question

I’m trying to customize some woocommerce files and having difficulties. I have a child theme, and created a “woocommerce” directory within it for overrides. But they don’t seem to be working. For example, I want to alter the cart display, so I have the customized file in my child theme as woocommerce/templates/cart/cart.php but it’s just not working. Any ideas?
