Portfolio Grid Page: Remove hover effect on thumbnails

Hi Guys!!
I’m currently building a site and really need help with the Portfolio Grid Page (first time at a web page)
Currently I have several portfolio items but I really need to show the thumbnail information permanently, not just on hover.
How do I remove the hover effect, keeping the white/semi transparent background with title and exert in tact.
Thank You for your help in advance… I’m really banking on this being some simple custom css!
