Testimonial footer widget goes bananas!

Hi,
I just updated my Virtue Premium theme to the latest edition, v. 3.8.8, along with a bunch of plugins (WPML, WP-Rocket, Imagify, and some woocommerce related ones) – and now the testimonial widget, which I’ve placed in the footer, is acting up when visiting the checkout-page. I’m not sure what’s going on, but I suspect it is Woocommerce related. As a sidenote, I’ve been having trouble updating to woocommerce 2.6, since it seems to crash my site.
Can you help me figure out how to fix the testimonial footer widget issue, and perhaps also guide me on how to update to woocommerce 2.6?
