Child Theme – Question

I wanted to check my knowledge….
The best place to put any css and functions, and templates is the Child theme, right?
I want to start making a named Virtue Premium child theme for all my separate clients, with a screen shot and their name so it’s nice and tidy.
So it’s fine to put any custom css in the child theme and not the advanced settings area.
The child theme is good for all of it.
That should be correct, right?
