How to create a left navigation menu … on some pages only?

Hi there!
I’d like to include a left navigation menu on some of my pages (but not across my whole site) – how do I do this? (I have created a custom menu for this navigation, I’m just not sure how to include it on the left on the specific pages I want it)
When I have this left navigation menu set up I’d like to format it such that it has a white background and a border around the whole menu 1px thick with 10px radius. How do I do this?
