lightbox from icon menu?

Hi,
I would like to be able to open a lightbox style info box when an image menu or icon menu button is clicked.
I have found various lightbox solutions for enlarging pictures and also for auto opening (on time or after scrolling) to use for data capture etc. however i want to have a list of services displayed as an icon menu or image menu, when one is clicked instead of going to a page it opens like a lightbox but with text, images and video.
Is this possible?
