Changing height of main image on home page

Hi,
How do I change the height of the home page main image – the one that is set through Theme Options?
I have an image that, in Photoshop, is sized at 2000 x 1200 but when I upload it to the media library it seems to become 1800 x 1200 – how does that happen?
