Bottom caraousel portfolio types – question

Hi Ben

At the bottom of my portfolio pages I have the Bottom Carousel activated. I want it show Portfolios of the SAME TYPE. My portfolio types are divided into 2 parent types – Surface Pattern, and Photography .Within those there are several child types.
The problem I’m having is that when I choose the option “Show Portfolios of only the same type”, it restricts the bottom carousel to be too specific. So,
*Login to see link is filed under portfolio types : Surface Pattern, Abstract, Doodles. Abstract and Doodles are child types of Surface Pattern. But now the bottom caraousel thinks I want to only show portfolios filed under all 3 of those types, but I want it to show anything under Surface Pattern, irrespective of whether they are Abstract or DOodley . IE, just don’t show any Photography portfolios!

How is it possible to do this?
