New Images Added to Media Library

Hello,

I’m having an odd problem in that new images that I upload to the media library show up in the library, but when I try to update the product image to the newly added on in media library it does not show up on the back end product page (bottom right corner) or on the front end. On the back end product page it shows as an image icon not the actual. When I change back to any previously uploaded image it works just fine.
