Product gallery images

Hi there,
I’m using the virtue premium theme and was wondering if there was any way I could edit the product gallery images to display side by side underneath the main product image? Or if that isn’t possible is there any way to hide the gallery images from underneath the product completely and just have them show through arrows that can be browsed through on the product main image?
If there’s any other way I could edit how the gallery images are displayed to make the product page look cleaner/more compact could you please let me know!
