virtue gallery ->image size different

Hi, a question about my portfolio pages.
I am using the virtue gallery widget, two of them on one portfolio page as I am doing a before column and an after column. Both have lightbox image size as ‘full’ and other settings are identical.
My ‘before’ images show as a smaller scale than my ‘after’. when you click on them they show full scale. but the thumbnails themselves are smaller – this isn’t happening on all my portfolio pages only one of them. I am missing a setting somewhere – any advice?
