Carousel/Gallery Thumbnails

Hi Ben,
I was wondering if you have a suggested plugin to use so that the gallery thumbnails can be customized. Some of the images in the carousel are not cropped ideally and would like to be able to change them. I’ve tried the Post Thumbnail Editor, it worked for the other thumbnails such as the widget thumbnails and the media library but not for the carousel or gallery.
