Reduce Spacing between Primary Menu Items

Hello, I searched for topics to reduce the space between menu items and found this code to add in advanced settings:
.kad-header-style-three #nav-main ul.sf-menu>li>a {
padding-left: 10px;
padding-right: 10px;
}
But no matter how I change the padding numbers the menu spaces remain the same.
I would like to reduce the space between each menu item so I can fit everything on one line AND then hoping I can “center” the menu with the logo image so there is not a huge space below the menu.
