Ascend Gallery Arrows

Hi Ben,
Is there a way to make the directional arrows on the Ascend Gallery smaller, or have them on either side of the “Dots” at the very bottom? I find that they are overlapping the images – not so bad on a full row gallery, but in a smaller widget, they are taking up too much space.

You will see it in 2 places on the home page – “Sponsor” in the middle row and again in the footer.
BTW – I am really enjoying working with this theme – thank you!
