mailto: address not working

Hello,
It appears that the I have used the correct formatting for a new email address created in Dreamhost. I checked address formatting within my WordPress site against W3C instructions — <a href="mailto:[email protected]">Send Mail</a> — and could find no errors.
But the email address, embedded in the <a href="*Login to see link How do I make an appointment, does not work.
Please advise.
