Take away header image on mobile site

Is it possible to have an image appear on the top left of the header in the main design, but to have it disappear on the mobile version of the site. It drops down below the logo and I think I would rather it be completely gone. I am also noticing that I can’t see the primary navigation links when I shrink the size of the browser. Do you know why? Thanks again!!
