Center logo and menu items disappear

Hi Hannah, Ben & Kevin 🙂 when I center the logo with menu items on both sides my menu items disappear. I am trying to get this look: *Login to see link

Another question to do with the menus is how do you get the menu without an image in the background and how do you get the menu items black as here: *Login to see link
