Need no rollover change on menu item with no link

It was easy enough to make a custom menu item that does not link to anything (so that item only serves as a kind of category heading).

But of course for a better user experience
– the cursor should not change when rolling over this menu item
– the color of the menu item text should not change on rollover

elsewhere online I’ve found various css codes to do this, but I couldn’t get any of them to work.
How can this best be done?
(I’ve already assigned the css class “unclickable” to the menu item in question – Programs)
