remove line under header when 'placed behind'

I have an image that is set to place behind header when scrolled. When the page first loads, there is a line across the page in the middle of the image where the bottom of the header is. As you scroll, the image disappears behind the header (and the line disappears)
Can the line be removed when the page is first displayed? The image is complete, onlye menue items, no line where header ends ?
