Home Mobile Slider Captions Staying On?

Using Virtue Premium, I set up both a Home Slider and a Home Mobile Slider. Chose Flex Slider in both, and sized my images differently as appropriate for each format. Entered a Title and Description for each image in both sliders, and saved the settings in each case. Selected the option to show the captions on the Home Slider, but turned them off for the Home Mobile Slider. The Mobile Slider is still showing the captions. I ran my tests using Web-based mobile simulators, not actual devices. The results are inconsistent: Sometimes the captions show at the lower screen dimensions, and sometimes not. Is there some reason why, and is there another way to prevent them from showing on the Mobile Slider at all? I should note that the issue persists even if I remove the text from the Titles and Descriptions entries in the Mobile Slider.
