header background image not displaying on all pages

Building an ascend premium site, and trying to make a header with a background image. Used Theme Options>Advanced Styling to set the image. Looks good, properly shrinking and sticky as desired on Home page, “Blog” and “About”, but it doesn’t work right on some other pages such as “Paintings” and “Art Shop.” Some pages show up with just white background in the header area, and as soon as a slight scroll is made the image pops into place. It shrinks as desired when I scroll on down, but when I scroll back to top, the image disappears leaving white background.
This varies by page. Some work fine, others have this same “white header” problem. Clones of working pages work. New pages have the white header problem. I suspect I’ve configured something on the bogus pages that gets in the way of proper header background display – but I’ve no idea what.
