Woocommerce Category Sort Order

I have a site with tons of sub-categories. I need to create new categories and order them either ABC or or ABC by slug rather than name but WC has this thing where it puts categories in order of when you created them. So most recent ones come up first.
Normally, I just drag the category (on the back end in the product>categories view) to the place I want it. But with so many sub-cats, I can’t do that as my categories span multiple pages even when I paginate to 999 (max viewed) I get 3 pages. I really don’t want another plugin just a way to do something simple.
Can I put something in the child theme or custom css or ??? to get my categories to be alphabetically ordered? It would be ideal if alpha by slug rather than name because it gives me more fidelity.
