Adding New Fields

Hello Team Kadence!
I would like to add a new field to an existing section in the theme options. I using a child theme and the latest version of Virtue Premium. I found some code via Redux documentation that says to use
add_filter('redux/options/virtue_premium/field/theme_extensions/register
to register the new field but the field does not appear. I can add a new section completely (which may work) but I’d prefer to add my fields to an exisiting section to keep things clean. For example, I want to add a new switch to the Theme Extensions section.
Can you point me in the right direction? Thank you!
