Site Title Showing Up on Home Page

Hi, I am using a transparent header. I added a site title to my General options on wordpress (that title then shows up on the tab of the browser). I have selected in them options and on the page to hide the page title, but it is still showing up. Can you please explain how to get the site title off of my home page? Thank you!
