Header colour/transparency

Hi, I am wanting my header to sit over my slider image as transparent, then the sticky header to change to a white background when scrolling with a different coloured text (black). At the moment the header is set to transparent but is showing as grey background and white text and the slider sits below it even though I have set height to 1000 (the image is larger than this). When the scrolling, the header is transparent and the text is white. Similar to this website *Login to see link
