so… i spent a full hour + working on a new homepage with the included sitebuilder…
used one of the default layouts as a starting point.
aside from the learning curve of understanding what the different widgets do, i spent more than an hour getting the first 3 rows exactly how i wanted them…
saving draft along the way as i went.
i left my computer for a while… and came back… refreshed the preview to remind myself where I was, and BAM… all that layout work is GONE.
I have the default layout, half the default content, and a bit of the text i changed to my custom stuff.
i do not have the time to rebuild it! if this is how this goes, i will need a refund on this membership. The point was to SAVE time, not TRIPLE IT!!
Please advise what I should be looking at to fix this issue.
Here are some things i notice…
#1, there are a TON of revisions at the bottom of the page.
if i compare 2, that are close in time, ALL the numbers in the tag attributes are different!! that shouldn’t happen, should it?? Looks like this:
#2 if i scroll through revisions, the numbers change… in some cases, revisions that are a few apart have the SAME numbers…
restored one and although the text i entered was there, the layout was off, and the page template was incorrect…
i can’t cope. my clients cannot pay me to spend hours redoing work… please help.
and yes, i’m using the most recent versions of everything, in chrome, on windows 10…
