Hpw to remove Virtue Shortcode

I noticed that the Virtue shortcodes are not the same as the ShortCode already used in my previous web site. Since the Virtue Shorcode seems to have priority with the theme, most of the previous shortcode are no longer working. Is it possible to remove the Virtue Short code to prevent having to rewrite most of the shortcodes (like accordion or tabs).
