Hello KADENCE support,
1. How to get the design result?
Me: I try to build clickable sub categories section for a category to sell the products If you look at Virtue Premium theme: *Login to see link under the main slider there are category such as Responsive, Ton Options, Clean Design, Ecommerce. I want to build two or three rows of these on a few categories pages as clickable subcategories. Is there any short code or theme-setting that is ready to use. If not what would be the best practice?
Kadence support: You can build custom image menus in page builder by using the Virtue Image menu widget. Just configure the link and image settings to your liking, and you should be able to make as many image menu items as you like.
If you’re unfamiliar with page builder, I suggest this tutorial as a starting point:
Me: The page builder does not give the design result.
Here are the goals that I try to build: (The Woocommerce I work on is adult products web site name Adult Warehouse Outlet.)
On Home page> *Login to see link
Below New Arrival Section is Categories Sections which are Vibrators, Dildos, Sexy Lingerie, and etc categories. The one I built using Home layout theme option is also not giving the design result. What I need is on each category have its own background image as shown and the category name inside the image offset at the bottom and clickable. Same as Virtue Premium theme: *Login to see link under the main slider there are category such as Responsive, Ton Options, Clean Design, Ecommerce.
• I want to build two or three rows of these on a few categories pages as clickable subcategories.
• And I want to change the hover color to pink instead of black by default.
• I also want to build another page name Adult Toys and I want to have the same category section as I have on the home page Shown but different categories. Page builder cannot do the jobs or if it can tell me how?
2. CSS Child Theme
Me: • The woocommerce I work on does not built on child theme. What would be the best practice to get started building the child the child theme?
Kadence support: You only need a child theme if you intend on coding custom functions or files. If you do intend on doing that you can get a example child theme from here: *Login to see link
My Questions are:
Is a Child Theme Necessary? If not where to change the CSS to meet my design result?
We just renew our license with Kadence. We appreciate all your support and looking forward to your reply.
Best Regards,
Sam
