Full Screen Slider Image No Displaying Properly On Home Page

The page does properly appear when not designated as the home page in Settings – Reading Settings – Static Page – Homepage
This is what I want to appear on the Home page:
*Login to see link <<—- Copy and paste into browwer and home suffix appears
This is what I get when I do not set the Home page as homepage in reading settings.
*Login to see link <<— Home suffix does not appear
In both cases the home page is defined in the one and only menu.
I can easily switch it back and forth by just only changing the homepage in Reading Settings.
