Lightbox effect

Hi there
I want to be able to click the images in the Gallery on a website so they load in a Lightbox with a Next button. I’ve used WP Lightbox 2 in the past but it won’t work. Nothing happens when I click the images.
I’ve tried it with disabling the theme lightbox in Misc settings and also tried using the theme’s lightbox and disabling the plug-in lightboxes I’ve added but nothing works.
Any ideas please?
