Want no clicking allowed on a blog_post feature photo

I used the code: [blog_posts type=normal items=”9″ orderby=”date” cat=events link=”false”]
In this particular case, I want the user to only see the summary of the blog post and its feature photo. I do not want the user to be able to get to the blog by clicking on either the feature photo or the text. I used the link=false to suppress clicking on the text. What do I add to suppress the ability to click on the featured photo? I hope this is do-able.
