Customized Home page

Hi,
I have created a new home page and customized it with the Elementor page builder. Now I want it to be set as the home page but, despite setting the newly built page as home page on Settings->Reading->Select Homepage, is not displayed as the home page. How can I set a custom made page as the home page and use this instead of the Virtue homepage?
