Change Background Colour of products on Sale

Hi guys, I would like to change the colour of the Sale legend placed on a product. It’s currently red (which is the same as Out of Stock) and would prefer to use a green. Is there a setting (I can’t seem to find it) or do you need to use CSS? If it’s CSS, could you possibly supply me the code please 😀
