Hi everyone,
I’ve read a bunch of recent posts on this subject, and I am still a bit puzzled. I have built a few one-slide sliders with video as either the background of the slide, or as an image layer of the slide, and they seem to play just fine on desktop browser, wherever I put them, but not fine at all on mobile. I thought I saw in one response that if the video was loaded in as an image (not background) it would work.
So here’s my question, is there a way to get video to play in sliders on mobile? If yes, will autoplay work? One more: does it work better to use embedded videos (youtube) or upload files locally to wordpress library?
Here’s my test post, where the animated text is a video in a slider towards the top of the page, and if you look down near the bottom you’ll see a thin brown stripe with a rough animated logo – also a video in a slider which appears on every page. If you look on mobile, you see white space (which I know I could replace with bkgd image, but for now it’s empty)
