Steps for installing Ascend

I downloaded both the Ascend Premium zip and Ascend Premium-Child. And read any instructions you have. Yet, still not certain about the order of steps. Please advice on the following. Is this what I do?:
1. Log in to wp admin, go to themes. Install Ascend Premium.
2. Then install Ascend Premium-Child.
3. Then activate Child. I read this link over and over but not certain how to do what is instructed and where. *Login to see link
4. Then install chosen Kadence plugins that include Kadence Importer. Then choose demo theme and activate plugin. I assume because I would have the Child theme active, it will import the demo to the child, right? *Login to see link
Please clarify steps, what/where/how. Thanks much.
Temporary wp site. Once completed, it will be transferred to client’s domain name when they pay for hosting plan in about 3 weeks.
