Disabling Mouse Over in Home Icon Menu

Hi there

I’ve created a row of home icons but don’t want them to be clickable or have any effect upon mouseover. They are essentially meant to be static content, however the content (images and text) disappears on mouse over/hover, due to the font color on hover setting and background color setting (these were selected in attempt to disable highlighting on mouse over)

Can someone please assist with disabling any response to or interaction with the icons or text? Alternatively, would a set of image and text be a better option in this case?

Thanks
