Need help creating a url link to a gallery category

I’ve got a gallery with around 100 photos in it. We’re wanting to create a button that links to just a specific category. I know the top of the gallery has each category listed that you can click and it filters the gallery down to just that category. We’re basically wanting to do the same but use an image as a filter. Is that possible?
