Card Associated with Subscription

Hi guys, my subscription renewal is due soon but the card I originally paid with has expired. I have entered a new payment method (the card number is the same as the original one just different dates etc). However, I cannot delete the original card details as it says there is a subscription associated with this card and I cannot make the new card the default.
So I just want to check that the subscription will go through OK as there is one valid card associated with the account?
