lost theme configuration

Hi, in the last two weeks our site lost unexpectedly the theme configuration two times..i mean: all the default values was loades … we fixed the problem loading the last backup copy, but, even the first time we thought it was a coincidence… now we are starting to doubt about the software stack… wordpress, theme plugins… so, right now we updated the theme… we are using WP 4.9.8…
