Adsense issue

Hi! I have tried many methods (in vain) to get Adsense working on my site. Can someone take a look and see if there is something interfering with it working? I have tried plugins, widgets and currently I put the code in an insert header plugin. The closest I got to success was when I put the code in a custom html widget and I got a blank space where an ad would go. But no ads. All looks good on the Google Adsense account side of things.
