Right Menu with Individual Products Tab

Hello, For my homepage I trying to create a simple menu on the right side that displays my products categories that are for sale i.e Seating, Tables, Storage, Lighting, Art & Objects. I managed to create create this via using one of the product demo templates, but I’m having issues with each tab displaying the products associated with each tab. So me question is how can I assign a products page/category to each tab. I cant seem to find a solution. PLEASE HELP!
