Logo size in header with widget

Hello! I am trying to use the header option that allocates a widget to the right of the logo. The problem that I am having is that I’d like my logo to occupy 50% of the space, and the widget the other 50%. As it is now, the logo space is too small (need it wider so logo appears larger). I combed through the support threads and didn’t find any suggested CSS specifically for the logo-widget header option. Also, I’d like to right-align the widget (I will use the Virtue: Image widget) and add padding above and below.
