Portfolio Carousels Not working consistently

Having trouble with the Homepage portfolio carousels.
Is there a specific video or detailed how to on setting these up available?
I’ve got 7 portfolios set up identically but only three are being pulled onto the home page.
Also, I set the image qty to 4 in the main settings, and in the set the portfolio set it to default. However all the images are being displayed.
