Memory Fault – crashing site

Hi I added a couple of images to the Home slider and when I pressed save I got a 503 error.
This is the reply I got from my hosting company – all help greatly appreciated as the site is looking terrible without the theme Virtue Premium theme switched on and I don’t know what to do next. BTW I’m a complete novice so any step by step instructions need to be written for a dummy.
“After testing this, I found that something in the virtue_premium theme scripts is causing a memory fault. I’m not sure why that would start suddenly, but raising the memory limit didn’t help. The only thing that resolved the error was switching the theme to a default WordPress theme.
You may want to contact the developers of the theme and see if this is a known issue or try reinstalling it before reactivating the theme.”
