header hides after enabling elementor footer

When using the elementor footer templates,it completely hides the theme’s header.
By activating the footer template, it’s overriding the theme’s footer, that definitely is working as intended and a feature. BUT by activating that footer template, it’s ALSO overriding the theme’s header. The system is assuming that if you are using elementor’s footer template that you are also using a header template, even if one doesn’t exist.
it there a way for this template to override only footer??
