Topbar Overlapping Header/Slider for Smaller Windows

What the title says, I hope it makes sense.
Basically the slider image is clipped from the top by the topbar when the window is made smaller. The topbar size doesn’t change. It would be good if it didn’t occupy the same div space.
Any ideas for a simple solution or do I need to write some CSS?
