Not Able to Activate Theme Using My Key

I built this client site about a year ago and I’m sure I activated it, but today I noticed it says key not activated. When I use my membership package key it says it’s an “Invalid Request.”
She uses GoDaddy. I looked over some other posts and noticed the issue has come up since June. Do I need to check her php setting?
