Hi,

Subsite Home page:

Working on a subsite of my main site — I’d like the subsite to have its own nav menu. The Elementor Pro nav menu widget seemed like a good way to go for that — no plugins required, no custom code.

Trying to copy the Ascend menu functionality (see the top main site nav menu). Still some tweaking to do, but it’s reasonably close.

EXCEPT: the Elementor submenu settings are being ignored. Mouse over “Campaigns” to see how the dropdown appears — wrong text color, wrong hover text color and background color, no opaque dropdown background. [As contrasted with the About menu in the Ascend nav menu bar.]

I think I proved the Ascend/Elementor conflict by switching to the WP 2020 theme — where the Elementor submenu settings work as expected.

Can you offer any advice? I’m not married to the idea of using the Elementor nav menu widget for subsite navigation if there is another simple way to go that I haven’t considered. The idea is to keep the users on the subsite so they can fully explore it.

Thanks!

Mike
